When putting together invitations, promos, etc. to promote your event, list the day of the week with the date. Why? The day of the week gives your audience a point of reference! I just received a promo from a boutique hotel in New Orleans. The dates were listed but not the day of the week for each event. I had to stop what I was doing to look at my calendar to figure out the day. Had Sunday been listed alongside each date, I would not have had to stop what I was doing and look at my calendar. I automatically know that on Sundays, I have a board meeting. Simplify! Put your audience first.
